Annual Award Honors Top Minds in Global Food Supply Chain Business
Roseville, Calif., March 31, 2016 – International Business Systems (IBS), a leading global supplier of integrated ERP, warehouse management systems (WMS) and supply chain solutions, today announced that two IBS executives – Graham Newland, Chief Customer Officer, and Bill Tomasi, Senior Vice President of Product Management – were named 2016 Food Logistics Champions: Rock Stars of the Supply Chain.
The award recognizes influential individuals in the industry whose achievements, hard work and vision helped shape and attain milestones in safety, efficiency, productivity and innovation.
“Our industry benefits from the vision and dedication of early pioneers and contemporary entrepreneurs alike who understand the uniquely integrated relationship between people and the global food supply chain,” notes Lara L. Sowinski, editor-in-chief at Food Logistics. “From farmers to transportation providers and others who play a part in the global food supply chain, this award is Food Logistics’ way of celebrating the talented trailblazers and inspirational mentors whose work deserves acknowledgement and appreciation.”
Newland and Tomasi are profiled in the March 2016 issue of Food Logistics, along with the other 2016 honorees.
Newland, who oversees all customer service functions for IBS, works with customers to better meet supply chain challenges. Known as an innovator in the supply chain, Newland has 35 years of industry experience working with leading organizations across all continents. Newland was instrumental in launching a new software-as-a-service (SaaS) solution to provide full inbound supply and track-and-trace capabilities for trading entities worldwide. “Our solutions help companies truly collaborate with key suppliers, creating greater transparency across the supply chain,” Newland said.
Tomasi, a 30-year veteran of the industry, oversees product development for IBS. His understanding of customers’ supply chain needs and complexities is applied to developing innovative process and technology solutions to overcome specific business challenges. “As more food distributors continue to re-think their approach to today’s omni-channel supply chain environment, IBS continues to deliver the process automation necessary for them to balance supply and demand in a cost-effective and profitable manner,” Tomasi said.
IBS is a trusted industry leader of ERP and WMS distribution software, preferred for consistently improving operational efficiencies and business performance for mid-market companies challenged by the complexities of managing distribution.
