From enabling a new appliance business model to improving distribution, IBS Enterprise software helps industry leaders expand market share, efficiency and bottom-line results.
Folsom, CA, January 17, 2012 – Miele has long been known as an innovator in appliances. Miele USA is now revolutionizing the appliance business model by warehousing, delivering and installing appliances using IBS Enterprise to expand its reach and efficiency through direct sellers.
Authorized Miele Direct Seller (AMDS) was launched to the public in 2011. The main goals of the AMDS program are to simplify the transaction process, compete with internet sales, and increase profitability and efficiency to allow the direct seller to focus on what they do best: selling. Miele direct sellers further enhance their cash flow and profitability because the program eliminates their need to carry inventory – Miele warehouses, delivers, and installs the appliances. And because everything is tracked online, direct sellers have access to transaction information in order to follow up with customers post-installation and can also track sales goals and commissions.
Through its partnership with IBS, a team of dedicated professional services and global technology organization staff worked hand-in-hand with Miele from design through implementation and then GoLive.
What Miele says:
“The IBS Enterprise-driven AMDS program allows direct sellers to take advantage of Miele’s highly visible website and addresses the transparency of price, allowing them to leverage their sales skills to earn the client’s business more efficiently and profitably. IBS allowed us to equip our direct sellers with a smart, relevant business model to compete in this ever-evolving landscape. It’s a win-win for everyone.”
Nick Ord, President & CEO, Miele USA
What IBS says:
“For this implementation with Miele, IBS Professional Services created modifications that revolve around a payment servlet that is invoked at the end of the AMDS web ordering process. The payment servlet has the newly-created ability to process deposits, electronic check payments and multiple payments.”
