Initially energy meters were tracked on lists
Before the project started, ENERVIE Vernetzt did not yet have a digital solution for its meter logistics – the meters were recorded manually on lists. After a change in the law made the complete tracking of meters mandatory, the company began searching for a suitable software. Although there were already several software manufacturers on the market, they did not offer exactly the functions that ENERVIE Vernetzt was looking for.
The transition to digital meter management
As the ERP software from Iptor multiflex had already been in use in the company for several years, the idea of mapping the meter logistics using this software came up. Together with the project management and development team from Iptor Austria, the meter management module was then developed individually according to the wishes and requirements of ENERVIE Vernetzt.
The ideas and requirements were first formulated internally within the company. Then, in numerous workshops with the project team from Iptor Austria and T3E Logistik – partly remote, partly on-site – we worked out together how these requirements could be implemented in detail. A specification sheet was then drawn up, which was implemented accordingly after acceptance by ENERVIE Vernetzt.
How are energy meters handled now?
Meter logistics can now be handled using efficient processes. Both the seamless tracking of meters and their quality management can be mapped directly in the ERP system without external interfaces. In addition to using the data in its own ERP system, the Iptor multiflex software also offers the option of transferring data such as serial numbers or installation messages to external systems using interfaces. This is of particular benefit to the many external fitters with whom ENERVIE Vernetzt works.
