Iptor Sweden AB and our subsidiaries and affiliates (“Iptor” or “we”) know that you care about how the information We receive from and about you are used and shared, and We take your privacy seriously. This policy demonstrates our commitment to your privacy, and covers how We collect and use your Personal Information, how you can control its use, and describes our practices regarding information collected from the Iptor website at www.iptor.com (“Site”), any subdomains of iptor.com, computer or mobile software applications, social media pages and HTML-formatted e-mail messages, as well as through offline sales and marketing activities (collectively, the “Channels”).

Iptor complies with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) and will never provide unauthorized access to your personal data to any thirty party.

Our primary goal in collecting information is to provide you with a friendly, customized, and efficient experience. We collect the following types of information from our customers:

Personal Information: Through your interaction with and use of the Channels, Iptor may collect Personal Information, which is information that identifies an individual or relates to an identifiable individual. Personal Information may include, but is not limited to: Your name, physical address, telephone number, e-mail address, company affiliation and associated interests.

Automatic Information: When you visit the Site, we collect your Internet Protocol (“IP”) addresses to track and aggregate non-personal information that may include, but is not limited to, browser and device information, data collected through automated electronic interactions, application usage data, demographic information, geographic or geo-location information, statistical and aggregated information.

Statistical or aggregated information does not directly identify a specific person, but it may be derived from Personal Information. For example, we may aggregate Personal Information to calculate the percentage of users in a zip code. In some instances, we may combine Automatic Information with Personal Information, such as combining a geographical location with your name. If We combine Automatic Information with Personal Information, we will treat the combined information as Personal Information.

Email Communication: We may receive confirmation when you open an e-mail from Iptor and may use this information to help us customize the emails We send to you and enhance their relevance to you. Prior consent We may also send out emails with information regarding Iptor or our partners, including promotions and events. If you complete the request form on the Site for additional information about the Service, we may use your email address to send you information regarding Iptor, our products and services and our partners and partnerships. You may opt out of being contacted by us by sending an email to [email protected], or by unsubscribing through the unsubscribe link in an email.

We also may use third party service providers to assist us in any of the above email and marketing functions, but when we do so, we require those providers to enter into confidentiality agreements, or otherwise agree to maintain the confidentiality of any personal information we receive from you. Third party providers need to comply with GDPR.

Iptor and our third-party service providers may collect both Personal Information and Automated Information from a variety of sources that generally fall into three categories:

  • Direct Interactions: From your use of and interaction with us through the Channels and other activities such as submission of registrations and forms, download requests or sales inquiries and transactions.
  • Automated Interactions: From the use of technologies such as electronic communication protocols, cookies, embedded URLs or pixels, or widgets, buttons, and tools.

Although Iptor’s use of Automated Interactions may change over time as technology evolves, the following descriptions are designed to provide you with additional detail about Iptor’s current approach to information collected from Automated Interactions.

Electronic Communications Protocols: We may automatically receive information from you as part of the communication connection itself, which often consists of network routing information (where you came from), equipment information (browser type), your IP address (which may identify your general geographic location or company), and date and time.

Iptor may also automatically receive and record information about your interaction with the channels, such as clickstream information (when each Iptor webpage was visited and how much time was spent on the page), or general geo-location data.

Cookies:  A cookie is a small data file that is stored locally on your device when you visit a website. A “session cookie” expires immediately when you end your session (i.e., close your browser). A “persistent cookie” stores information on the device so when you end your session and return to the same website later, the cookie information is still available.

When you visit our Site, we may use both session and persistent cookies. These cookies may contain information (such as a unique user ID) that is used to track your usage of our Site and may be used to send you ads or offers when you browse our Site or other websites. We employ cookies to enable our systems to recognize your browser and tell us how and when pages in our Site are visited and by how many people, and for our server to recognize a return visitor as a unique user. The cookies placed by the Iptor server are readable only by Iptor, and cookies cannot access, read, or modify any other data on a device.

Flash Cookies: We may use Flash Cookies, also known as “local shared objects,” on our Electronic Channels that employ Flash technology. Flash Cookies are used to remember the site’s settings to personalize the look and feel of the site. Like normal cookies, Flash Cookies are represented as small files on your device. One method of preventing Flash Cookies from being placed is to adjust your preferences in the Macromedia Website Privacy Settings Panel at macromedia.com.

Embedded URLs: Iptor may use a tracking technique that employs embedded URLs to allow use of the electronic channels without cookies. Embedded URLs allow limited information to follow you as you navigate the electronic channels but are not associated with Personal Information and are not used beyond the session.

Embedded Pixels and Similar Technologies: On the electronic channels, Iptor and its service providers may use embedded pixel technologies for the purposes of identifying unique user visits (as opposed to aggregate hits), and for advertising purposes. In addition, embedded pixels or other technologies may be used in e-mails and our online display advertising to provide information on when the e-mail or ad was opened to track marketing campaign responsiveness; information collected using these technologies may be associated with the recipient’s e-mail address.

Widgets, Buttons, and Tools: Our electronic channels may include widgets, which are interactive mini programs that run on our Site to provide specific services from another company (e.g., links to bookmarked sites), along with buttons or other tools that link to other companies’ services (e.g., a “Like” button or third-party map). The widget, button or tool may collect and automatically send Personal Information, such as your e-mail address, or other information (such as your browser information, or IP address), to a third party. Cookies may also be set or used by the widgets, buttons, or tools to enable them to function properly or for other purposes, which may include advertising. Information collected or used by a widget, button, or tool, including cookie settings and preferences, is governed by the privacy policy of the company that created it.

Refusal of Cookies: You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however, please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website. By accepting cookies, you consent to the processing of data about you in the manner and for the purposes set out above.

Google Analytics: This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”).

Google Analytics uses “Cookies”, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the European Union. Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity for website operators and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google’s behalf. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. For more information about Google Analytics, or to opt out of Google Analytics, please go to: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout

You should also review any additional terms and conditions that may govern your use of these channels. To manage or remove your Personal Information from our online communities, please fill out an inquiry form.

Interact with You on Third Party Social Networks: Iptor may use your Personal Information to interact with you on Third Party Social Networks. Iptor’s interactions with you on a Third-Party Social Network would be subject to that network’s privacy policies and terms of use.

Select Content, Improve Quality and Facilitate Use of the Channels: Iptor may use your Personal Information to help create and personalize content on our channels, facilitate your use of the channels (for example, to facilitate navigation and the login process, avoid duplicate data entry and enhance security), improve quality, track marketing campaign responsiveness (including online advertising and e-mail marketing), and evaluate page response rates.

After the event, Iptor may contact you about the event and related products and services and may share information about your attendance with your company. Please note that our partners or conference sponsors may directly request your Personal Information at their conference booths or presentations. You should review their privacy policies to learn how they use Personal Information.

When Iptor shares Personal Information with third party service providers, we require that they use your Personal Information only for the purpose of providing services to us and subject to terms consistent with this Policy and we demand that they are GDPR compliant.

Comply with Legal Requirements and Corporate Transactions: Iptor may disclose your Personal Information as We believe to be necessary or appropriate: (a) under applicable law, including laws outside your country of residence; (b) to comply with legal process; (c) to respond to requests from public and government authorities, including public and government authorities outside your country of residence; (d) to enforce our terms and conditions; (e) to protect our operations or those of any of our affiliates; (f) to protect our rights, privacy, safety or property, and/or that of our affiliates, you or others; and (g) to allow us to pursue available remedies or limit the damages that We may sustain. Additionally, in the event of a reorganization, merger, sale, joint venture, assignment, transfer or other disposition of all or any portion of our business, assets, or stock (including in connection with any bankruptcy or similar proceedings), We may transfer the Personal Information We have collected to the relevant third party.

We securely store subject data on systems controlled by Iptor Supply Chain Systems AB and its companies and subsidiaries being data processors. The servers are placed in a data center under Iptor control within the EU/EES. Iptor has a high demand for security for the management of the data centers.

Some non-marketing communications are not subject to general opt-out, such as communications related to product download, sales transactions, software updates and other support related information, patches and fixes, conferences or events for which you have registered, disclosures to comply with legal requirements, and (where permitted by law) quality assurance surveys. Some additional communications with partners are also not subject to general-opt out, including product alerts, updates, contractual marketing and sales materials, and other notices related to partner status.

Information-Sharing Choices: Iptor only shares personal Information with selected companies after providing users the ability to make choices about the sharing, or as otherwise described in this Policy. There are limitations to opting out of such sharing in the case of: (1) joint sales or joint events; (2) where the customer has requested follow-up which involves Iptor partners; (3) where third parties are required to accomplish the transaction or perform the service; and (4) where required by law.

Third Party Permission-Based Lists: On occasion, Iptor may use third-party lists to send communications about Iptor products and services. These lists, which are maintained by third parties, include users eligible under applicable law to receive e-mails from other companies such as Iptor. When we use such lists, the communications will include mechanisms to opt out of receiving Iptor marketing communications. If you have trouble opting out, or if you wish to make us aware of any issues related to a third-party mailing, you may contact us directly through our inquiry form.

For California Residents: Under California Civil Code Section 1798.83 (also known as S.B. 27), if you are a California resident and your business relationship with Iptor is primarily for personal, family, or household purposes, you may request certain data regarding Iptor’s disclosure, if any, of Personal Information to third parties for the third-parties’ direct marketing purposes. To make such a request, please fill out an inquiry form; you may make such a request up to once per calendar year. If applicable, we will provide you, by e-mail, a list of the categories of Personal Information disclosed to third parties for their direct marketing purposes during the immediately preceding calendar year, along with the third parties’ names and addresses. Please note that not all Personal Information sharing is covered by S.B. 27’s requirements.

In your request, please make clear what Personal Information you would like to have changed, whether you would like to have your Personal Information that you have provided to us deleted from our database or otherwise let us know what limitations you would like to put on our use of your Personal Information that you have provided to us.

While most questions and issues related to access can be handled quickly, complex requests may take more research and time. In such cases, issues will be addressed, or you will be contacted regarding the nature of the problem and appropriate next steps, within thirty days.

You may request to review, correct, update, suppress, or otherwise modify any of your Personal Information that you have previously provided to us through the Channels, or object to the use or processing of such Personal Information by us. Iptor will retain your Personal Information for as long as your account is active; as needed to provide you products or services; as needed for the purposes outlined in this policy or at the time of collection; as necessary to comply with our legal obligations (e.g., to honor opt-outs), resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements; or to the extent permitted by law.

At the end of the retention period, Iptor will delete your Personal Information.

Iptor uses some third parties to administer a limited set of Iptor advertisements on third party electronic channels. No Personal Information is provided to the advertisers as part of this process, but aggregate profile information, such as user community, may be used in the selection of advertising to make sure that it has relevance to the user. On some banner ads, an embedded pixel may be present, and while it does not associate with a cookie or other Personal Information, it may return session connection information that allows advertisers to better determine how many individual users have clicked on the ad banner.

Iptor also may participate in third party advertising networks that use other information they collect on our behalf to show you Iptor related advertisements that are tailored to your individual interest on third party sites. This technique includes retargeting, contextual or behavioral advertising. Any retargeting or behavioral advertisement placed on our behalf will contain information on or near it that informs you about the ad network and how to opt-out of viewing such advertisements, or you may also opt out directly with the ad network vendor. To learn more and to opt out, visit http://www.networkadvertising.org/choices/ or http://www.aboutads.info/choices/.

Please note that opting out does not mean that you will stop receiving ads. It means that you will stop receiving ads that have been targeted to you based on your visits across non-affiliated websites over time. If you delete cookies, change computers, or use another operating system, you will need to opt-out again.

The security of your Personal Information is very important to Iptor. We use physical, electronic, and administrative safeguards that are designed to protect your Personal Information from loss, misuse and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction.

If your Personal Information is acquired, or is reasonably believed to have been acquired, by an unauthorized person and applicable law requires notification, Iptor will notify you by e-mail. Iptor will give you notice promptly, consistent with the reasonable needs of law enforcement and/or Iptor to determine the scope of the breach and to investigate and restore the integrity
